Zero Tolerance Policy

At Brisbane Specialist Group, we are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and professional environment for our patients, visitors, and staff. To achieve this, we have a Zero Tolerance Policy towards any form of inappropriate, aggressive, or abusive behaviour.
Our Commitment to You
  1.  We will treat all patients, families, and visitors with courtesy, respect, and professionalism.
  2.  We will provide the highest standard of medical care in a supportive and safe environment.
  3.  We will listen to your concerns and work with you to address them appropriately.
Expected Behaviour from Patients and Visitors

We kindly ask that all patients and visitors:

✔ Treat staff, clinicians, and other patients with courtesy and respect at all times.

✔ Follow clinic procedures and instructions given by staff.

Communicate concerns calmly and constructively.

✔ Respect the privacy, safety, and well-being of others within the clinic.

Unacceptable Behaviour

We have zero tolerance for the following behaviours:

Verbal abuse, shouting, intimidation, or threats.

Physical aggression, violence, or unwanted physical contact.

Harassment, discrimination, or offensive remarks of any kind.

Deliberate damage to property.

Repeated disruptive behaviour that impacts the safe delivery of care.

Consequences of Unacceptable Behaviour

If any patient or visitor engages in unacceptable behaviour:

  • They may be asked to leave the premises immediately.
  • Their treatment may be discontinued or transferred elsewhere.
  • Incidents of violence, threats, or criminal behaviour will be reported to the police.
Our Goal

This policy is in place to protect everyone—patients, families, visitors, and staff. By fostering a respectful environment, we can ensure the best possible care for all who attend Brisbane Specialist Group.
