What to Expect When You Refer a Patient to Us
At Brisbane Specialist Group, we value the trust you place in us when you refer your patients. To ensure a smooth and reliable process, here is what you and your patients can expect
Step 1 – Referral Received
- Referrals can be sent directly from your practice or by the patient themselves.
- Once received, the referral is reviewed so we can allocate the patient to the most appropriate specialist.
Step 2 – Contacting the Patient
- Our team aims to contact your patient within 2 business days of receiving the referral to offer an appointment.
- If your patient does not hear from us within 7 days, they are encouraged to follow up directly with our clinic. This helps account for situations where referral letters are delayed or not received.
Step 3 – Specialist Consultation
- Your patient will be seen by one of our specialist doctors, who will assess their condition and provide a tailored management plan.
Step 4 – Correspondence Back to You
- We aim to send correspondence back to you within 2 business days after your patient’s consultation.
- This ensures you are promptly updated on the outcome of the visit and the recommended management plan.
**Alternatively, you may use the following online form to send the referral to us at your convenience.
